PARKA EXTREME COLD WEATHERと言われる今は無きM-65 PARKAやM-51モッズコートのような極寒冷地用パーカーがありました。
それは拡張式寒冷地被服システム ECWCSの中で言うとLevel７にあたる物でした。
GEN1（generation 1）の後期型やGEN2（generation ２）をミックスしながらハードシェルをコートスタイルに再構築し、MOUTのライナーをジップインシステムで脱着出来るようにアップデート。Recon Inshulation Jacketを内蔵すればLevel７をも上回る性能を持ちます。
そうしてECWCS level6を次世代のPARKA EXTREME COLD WEATHERとして昇華させました。
右腕にレーザーカットのＰＡＬＳ（Pouch Attachment Ladder System）を採用し、前立ての内側からアクセスするインナーポケットを設けています。
元来ECWCS level6にはGORE-TEXが使用されているのですが、MOUTでは次世代の透湿素材と考えるスイスの老舗ハイテク素材メーカーSchoeller社が誇るハイエンドテクノロジーであるC_Change ® に変更。
それはマツボックリのもつ自動開着目し開発した自動透湿コントロール付 完全防水•透湿性•4ウェイストレッチ素材で外気温、湿度、体温レベルの変化に自動的に性能を変化させ最適な状態に反応する特殊高性能素材を採用。
今回このようにして昇華させた次世代のPARKA EXTREME COLD WEATHERが、Extreme Cold Weather Hard Shell Coatです。
